About Pepperjacks Restaurant, Bar and Cafe
Pepperjacks Restaurant and Bar owners Yash and Sunita Narula took over Pepperjacks in 2014 and have many years of experience in hospitality and event planning under their belt.
Yash brings his skills of 40+ years in hospitality working in hotels and restaurants around the world, and has a long-standing reputation among East Auckland clientele as the former owner of the very successful Giggles restaurants in Howick and Remuera (opened in 1990 and 1992 respectively) and Smokey’s Char-grill & Ice Cream Parlour in Botany.
At Pepperjacks you can try Yash’s original recipe, Onion Mumm. It’s so good that in the 15 years, 81,797 servings (and counting!) have been sold. This delicious snack looks like a chrysanthemum flower opening. The ‘petals’ are picked from the flower and dipped in a lightly-spiced sauce. “It reminds me of my time in New Orleans and my love of Cajun food,” says Yash.
The Onion Mumm was recently featured in Herald online, leading – Five of the best deep-fried foods you must try in Auckland.
Sunita is the event planner side of the business – Weddings are her specialty, however, any occasion will be a very memorable one with her special touches.
Pepperjacks chef has more than 30 years’ experience in top quality food preparation. The menu is refreshed regularly, while favourite dishes are retained. Pepperjacks prides itself in being a bit different by offering an array of dishes from around the world, and its experienced floor staff is here to make your visit enjoyable.
